Film and Television Production Program Entrance Requirements
  1. Be 18 years of age and or have a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent from students' country.
  2. Student must provide the application form together with a written statement advising the Academy why they wish to train in film and television production together with a letter of reference (must not from a family member).
  3. If student has a portfolio of any previous film work, the Academy will ask student to upload to the internet for viewing. Students can send to view on their Youtube account or Vimeo account.
  4. If English is not your first language, take TOEFL or IELTS to meet English Language Requirements for international students

  • Click to fill out the Online Application Form, or click for application form as PDF file, or WORD file to fill out and submit to the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television with a non-refundable application fee of $150.00 CAD.
  • International applicants should arrange to have their transcripts (if not in English) officially translated. We will accept official notarized copies of some transcripts, depending on the country of origin.

If accepted
The Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television will email you a Letter of Acceptance, as well as mail you the original Letter of Acceptance together with the Enrollment Contract. 
Students must complete the following steps: 
  1. Complete and return the original signed Enrollment Contract by mail or courier. If emailing Enrollment Contract, student must bring the original Enrollment Contract to the administration on the first day of class.
  2. Pay the International Student Deposit Fee of 25% of the tuition fee. 
    Example: if the tuition fee is $12,000 then $3,000 would go towards tuition fees. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard or a money order or bank draft payable to the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television. Film students who wish to wire funds contact the Academy as to the procedure to wire funds into the Academy’s trust account.

    The program is less than six months, therefore students should apply for a Visitor Visa only.

International students will need to present to the Canadian Visa Office:
  1. A valid passport
  2. Acceptance Letter from the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television
  3. Evidence of funds to be able to live and support in Canada (Should have minimum $8,000 CAD.)
  4. Mandatory proof of medical insurance coverage. If you wish the Academy to provide you with Health Insurance information please contact us at 1-866-420-4077 for more information, or please click here to know about student insurance provided by Sun Life Financial. 

International Student Tuition: $12,000.00 CAD
